چکیده
Dyadic Green functions for time–harmonic fields in a homogeneous, isotropic, dielectric– magnetic medium, moving with constant velocity, are derived by first implementing a simple transformation and then using the dyadic Green functions available for uniaxial dielectric–magnetic mediums.

The Huygens principle for a uniaxial dielectric–magnetic medium with gyrotropic–like magnetoelectric properties
The dyadic Green functions for a uniaxial dielectric–magnetic medium, together with a reversible field transformation, were implemented to derive a formulation of the Huygens principle appropriate to a uniaxial dielectric–magnetic medium with gyrotropic–like magnetoelectric properties.

Response of a transversely isotropic 3-D half-space subjected to a surface time-harmonic excitation is presented in analytical form. The derivation of the fundamental solutions expressed in terms of displacements is based on the prefect series of displacement potential functions that have been obtained in the companion paper by the authors. First the governing equations are uncoupled in the cyl...
متن کاملDyadic Green's Functions for Cylindrical Waveguides W I T H Moving Media
The dyadic Green's function for cylindrical waveguides of circular or rectangular cross section with a moving, isotropic, homogeneous medium is developed using the method of eigenfunction expansion. The orthogonality properties of the vector mode functions are discussed. In contrast to waveguides with a stationary medium, it is seen that the normalization factor in the case of the E mode introd...
متن کاملA Generalized Expression for the Energy Density of Electromagnetic Waves in Media with Strong Temporal Dispersion
An expression is derived for the energy density of an electromagnetic wave of rather general form in a lossless, homogeneous and isotropic medium exhibiting temporal dispersion. The result is a generalization of the standard form and takes into account higher order derivatives of the dielectric and permeability functions as well as of the electric and magnetic field amplitudes of the wave. The ...
متن کاملOrthogonal–Phase–Velocity Propagation of Electromagnetic Plane Waves
In an isotropic, homogeneous, nondissipative, dielectric–magnetic medium that is simply moving with respect to an inertial reference frame, planewave solutions of the Maxwell curl postulates can be such that the phase velocity and the time–averaged Poynting vector are mutually orthogonal. Orthogonal–phase–velocity propagation thus adds to the conventional positive–phase–velocity propagation and...
